While I was doing fine with the iOS images I "found" at home, it seems to be a big jungle trying to obtain these the actual way through Cisco's site.įrom what I can read, you need to purchase a $199 license to download VIRL images, but how much does this include? Will I have to ask my boss to spend 199 for both a router + a L2 switch + a 元 switch? I am however, at a bit of a loss when I comes to obtaining Cisco images for the routers/switches. When I got back to my workplace, and talked to my boss, he was very into the idea of me setting up a server to run GNS3, so I could practice before my final period in school. I was recommended GNS3 to emulate the projects we have to do for our final exam, and after toying around with it for a while, the program seems to perfectly fit my needs. I'm a student, trying to brush up my networking skills.
